Po Mans Stew






INGREDIENTS

900 grams - ground beef

2 medium - onions, chopped

4 can - stewed tomatoes 14 1/2 oz each

8 medium - carrots, sliced

4 celery ribs, sliced

3 medium - potatoes, peeled and cubed

480 ml - water

125 grams - uncooked long grain rice

20 grams - salt

3 grams - pepper

14 grams - granulated garlic

Prep time is 20 min, serves 15.

DIRECTIONS

1 In a dutch oven, cook beef and onions over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Add tomatoes, carrots, celery, potatoes, water, rice, salt, pepper and garlic; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 30 minutes or until vegetables and rice are tender.

2 Uncover and simmer 20-30 minutes longer or until thickened.
